Tripoli Road Project Update: Turning Vision into Access
Last fall, we took a big step forward—thanks to a loan from our friends at Access Fund, CNHCA secured a 5-acre parcel of land along Tripoli Road. This piece of land is now at the heart of our current priority: building a small, designated parking lot to serve the outdoor recreation community.
Right now, the only parking option near the Tripoli Road gate is along the roadside—something that’s become increasingly congested and unsustainable. Our future lot will directly address this issue, creating safe, organized parking while preserving access to the incredible climbing and recreation opportunities in the area. Even better: it will also open up access to more climbing beyond Russell Crags, including routes in Merriam Woods.
To get this project off the ground, our top focus is fundraising. Every donation brings us closer to breaking ground. Once we’re able to begin clearing the land, we’ll also be reaching out for volunteer help—so stay tuned if you're ready to get your hands dirty for a good cause!
We’re proud of how far this community has come in making this vision real. Thank you for being part of it—your support truly makes a difference.
